Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover

You have heard it before, ‘don’t judge a book by its cover.’
But who hasn’t?
Really. If I am looking for a new book in the store or library I often get a feel for the book by the cover.
I was incredibly sickish and nervous trying to decide on the cover for the book. Knowing that I am not the only one who judges a book by its cover. Trying to decide how my first book would be dressed and present itself was a big deal. I wanted to impress. I wanted to people please. I wanted you to be attracted to the book. I wanted you to see it and think upon seeing it…’I have to read that!’
Way too much pressure!
I was spending too much energy on the cover. Yes I want it to be amazing.
But more importantly I want the focus to be the message inside the cover.

However, the cover of the book does have some meaning.
The greenery in the back represents life and the deep vitality of that.
The title “Do You Know I Love You?” is for us all.
The bench though hard to embrace was worth every second I sat on it.
Discovering our purpose of being not doing is freeing.
I am beyond excited to share this journey with you all.
May we be brave enough to look beyond the cover.
