Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the Online Bible Study Expo last week. I truly enjoyed meeting all sorts of new people.
We will continue this week with what it looks like to live loved.
Living Loved Part 1 discussed forgiveness.
Living Loved Part 2 discussed being difficult to offend.
Today we are going to talk about how living loved means living in freedom.
When we are living loved we are living fully in the grace, love, peace, and joy God has for us.
When we are living loved we are living the abundant life that Jesus came to give us.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 (emphasis mine)
Now before we go too much further I don’t want us to think that this full life or abundant life is anything to do with having the biggest house, the largest paycheck, the newest car.
God’s economy is different.
He is more concerned about our mind, heart, body and soul.
He is all about keeping our minds in perfect peace.
Minds like His.
Thoughts that are pure.
In God’s economy, abundant life has to do with our awareness of His presence, provision and protection.
He desires for us to have a relationship with Him. Daily.
He created us for this exact reason.
Our Creator fashioned us for Him.
When we allow God to love us it changes our life.
Love frees us to fully live.
This love that He pours down on us changes our hearts.
Our hearts start beating in tune with His.
We begin to learn that this love is our foundation from which we live.
We live free in His love.
Freedom, that once felt is like no other experience.
A life that not one of us can even possibly dream up because it’s so amazing.
However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
Friends we are unable to wrap our human minds around this love and life God has created for us.
But may we not let that stop us.
We are loved. Let’s live like it.
Fully in the freedom God has for us.
May we go all in.
May we desire to live this abundant life with every bit of our minds, hearts, bodies and souls.
