On Purpose Everyday

You get to choose!

I’m thinking about these two words today:

Fear and Faith.

And how really we choose between the two each and every day.

One will keep us in captivity.

While the other will set our hearts, mind and souls to soar and go after living the best life. The life our Creator intended us to live.

Fear paralyzes us. It makes us shortsighted. Fear causes us to focus on self. (Ouch!) When we are captive by fear we are focused on the past not the future. Fear keeps us from launching out.

Fear says:

“Don’t make a scene!”
“What will other people think of you?”
“God is not interested in you!”
“You don’t have what it takes!”
“Every time you have tried you have failed.”

Faith is confidently choosing to trust and believe without proof in something, and faith requires us to possess other things.

Fear is fed by the lies of the enemy.

Faith is the truth of our Creator.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 (NIV)
If we want the ‘full life’ that our God has promised for us. We have to choose faith. Choosing faith will allow us to possess the full life.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 (NIV)

You get to choose:

Where you put your energy.
Who you listen to.
Who you believe.

You get to choose.

Fear or Faith.

You get to choose.

May your choice bring peace to your soul.
